Gibborim Youth Group (The King's Mighty Warriors) - 2 Samuel 23:8-12
Middle and high schoolers are invited to gather weekly on Wednesday evenings during the school year, 6:30-8:00 pm. Our goal for each gathering is to encounter and learn from Jesus. This time typically includes praise & worship, prayer, games, Bible teaching/learning, small group discussion, and snacks. We also spend time learning how to apply Biblical concepts to real life through various missional projects that develop leadership, facilitation, and organizational skills in our youth.
As we grow together in participation with Jesus in living out lives worthy of our calling, we provide opportunities for youth to:
* Participate in the worship team
* Attend Christian leadership and Missions conferences
* Plan and execute service opportunities and projects
* Participate in Missions trips, evangelism & discipleship
* Interact with different guest speakers (missionaries, business leaders, etc.)
* Work together to raise funds for outings and trips
* Collaborate with other local youth groups
Genesis 1:27 declares that I am created in God's image; a special creation to fulfill God's will and purpose (Philippians 2:13). Philippians 1:27-30 encourages me to live worthy of the gospel of Christ, to have the mind of Christ, and to have courage. It matters to God that I live in a way (stewardship lifestyle) that exhibits His love for the world. This is what our youth group is all about!
